ACC 561 Week 6

Learning Team Reflection
Incremental analysis is an effective tool depending upon your managerial style and requirements.  It can be used if ones needs for comparison and measurement justify its use. Team member Kemberly disagrees with the statement incremental analysis is more economical then a comprehensive analysis. Incremental looks at the variations and how it may or may not impact the business based on the decisions made. Comprehensive analysis looks at the bigger picture of the financial standing of a business via all operational reporting.
Team member Glenn disagrees with the statement. Incremental analysis analyzes the effects of managerial decisions in terms of costs and revenues changes if certain actions are taken. Incremental analysis can provide insight into the potential results of actions by providing a different perspective than comprehensive analysis. In terms of being effective, incremental analysis gives alternative results to compare.
Team member also Carmen disagrees with the statement because incremental analysis ignores costs without change and impact on future decisions. Incremental analysis looks at the variances; meanwhile, the comprehensive analysis can be used to measure and compare company’s operations
